The battle lasted all day and all night. The strength of , who retrieved the Reverse Scale, was astonishing, but he didn't seem to want to defeat the Oriental Fighters so quickly, and was deliberately probing, wondering if these people in front of him really could prevent him from dominating the Cadia Riverlands as prophesized by the Dragon God.
"Don't waste time here. We need to talk to the Ninjutsu Master as soon as possible." warned coldly as he stood in the distance on top of a tree.
"In that case, let's stop here for now." fended off 's attack, waved his hand to above, and stood with his hands crossed.
The Oriental Fighters were exhausted at this time, but they would never allow to escape so easily. made a gesture to his companions, and the four people stood in the four corners, tightly encircling .
"You’ve overestimated your strength." hummed coldly and suddenly shot up into the sky. He was faster than , more powerful than , and more flexible than . The unstoppable easily evaded the attack and broke through the encirclement. Only stood in front of him.
"You can forget about passing through here!" gripped on to the Dragon Spear tightly in his hand and thrust it forward.
And then something unbelievable happened – used his own flesh to block the Dragon God Spear. Afterwards, waved his left hand and hit 's chest hard; holding the tip of the Dragon Spear with his right hand, he used his strength to squeeze the Dragon Spear and shatter it to bits.
"Your strength comes from the Dragon Spear that the stubborn old man gave you. Without it, you are useless. "
"You are just an ordinary cultivator with a mortal body made of flesh and blood. You simply cannot afford to take on the future of the Cadia Riverlands." With that, the arrogant sneered and strode off, leaving the badly injured and the Oriental Fighters right where they were.
After waking up, found himself lying in the Dragon Temple. The heavy blow from had almost shattered his body. He fought to get up from the bed, only to immediately fall back down again.
He had lost almost all his strength, and even found it difficult to move; but what he found even more difficult than the slow recovery of his body was the loss of his confidence and spirit.
's fatal blow had not only smashed the Dragon Spear, but also smashed all of 's confidence. He couldn't even protect the Dragon Spear passed down to him by his master, how could he protect all of the Cadia Riverlands? That Dragon Spear had followed him through hundreds of battles. It gave him strength and confidence.
But now, all of this has been crushed in ’s hands.
"You are just a mortal, made of flesh and blood. Without the Dragon Spear, you are useless. "
's conceited and arrogant words kept lingering in 's mind and wouldn’t disappear. Whenever he tried to pick up a weapon, he would think of the broken spear, that nightmarish moment. At the same time, the slow recovery of his injuries also made realize that he could never fully recover.
After experiencing unprecedented failure, decided to find himself again. At this time, the Great Dragon appeared. He told that so long as he could recast the Dragon Spear, would be able to regain his strength. The materials needed to recast the broken spear were found on the top of Mount Celeste in the hinterlands of the Cadia Riverlands. had to climb the mountain with his bare hands to get them.
The road to the top of Mount Celeste was full of dangers and obstacles. No one had ever been able to climb the summit alone and with their bare hands, not even the most outstanding cultivators of the past.
With unwillingness to accept defeat and his rekindling enthusiasm, took a staggering step and began to climb to the top of the mountain. The strength he had cultivated for many years was almost lost, the heavy injuries still plagued him, and every step out was accompanied by severe pain. The road to the top of the mountain was extremely rugged. He fell down several times, but got back up several times.
As approached the mountain top step by step, ’s shadow and those words began to continually appear in front of ’s eyes and ears. The crushing defeat he experienced personally came from the contempt and ridicule of . The village that was destroyed by after the defeat constantly tortured his spirit, and the long climb also brought 's body to the verge of collapse. At the end of the illusion, the Great Dragon fell in front of , The Cadia Riverlands had ushered in a new ruler, and he fell weakly to the side, just like the scene before.
“No! I will never give up! " let out a roar and charged forward with all his strength. At the moment he reached the summit, he broke through the pain threshold that his body could bear. His body that was crushed by the black dragon was quickly repaired and reborn with incredible power.
The illusion in front of them also disappeared. On top of Mount Celeste, the Great Dragon and , along with the repaired Dragon God Spear, were quietly waiting for .
"Broken spears can be recast, but destroyed beliefs are difficult to rebuild. It is only when people surpass themselves that they can truly achieve a transformation, and the power of weapons is simply insignificant."
"Whether it is the Dragon Spear or an ordinary iron spear, what the Cadia Riverlands must rely on to protect it is never the weapon, but the person who uses it."
"Sure enough, you did not disappoint me. Go, you still have a mission to complete. You have to stop and prove that you are the true guardian."
took over the recast Dragon Spear, as he had received a new life together with it. Accompanied by the Dragon Spear, will once again challenge . The descendants of the Great Dragon will surely protect the peace in the Cadia Riverlands.
