Ignite the Star

A junk mecha on the counter. A father she never forgave.

Beatrix minds a repair shop in Nimbus and has nothing but scorn for the old mecha a stranger brings in, or for the competition behind it. He answers with the legend of a star, the dark energy that once took hold of him, and the man in a ramshackle suit who set himself ablaze to stop it. That man was her father, and she cannot forgive him for leaving her to compete.
